Who we are

GlasPod is a podcast made in Glasgow, Scotland. For anything in this notice — including any request about your data — email hello@glaspod.co.uk. That address is monitored by the person who runs the show.

What we collect

We only collect what you type into the "Be a Guest" form on our Guests page:

That's the whole list. We don't have user accounts, we don't run analytics, we don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we never ask for payment details. We don't collect your IP address as part of the form.

Why we collect it

One reason only: to read your application and reply to you about appearing on GlasPod. We might email you to ask a follow-up question, suggest a recording date, or tell you we can't fit you in this time.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — running a podcast means finding and speaking to guests, and you've contacted us for that purpose. We don't rely on consent, and we don't add you to any mailing list, newsletter or marketing sequence.

Where it's stored

Submissions are held in two places, both run by our hosting provider (Hostinger):

Nobody outside GlasPod reads it. We don't sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers, and we don't transfer it outside the UK and EEA on purpose.

How long we keep it

Twelve months from your last message, if we haven't recorded with you. After that we delete it. If you do come on the show, we keep your name, bio and episode details for as long as the episode is published, because they're part of the episode. If you ask us to delete your details at any point, we will — see below.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

Email hello@glaspod.co.uk and say what you'd like. We'll reply within one month, usually much sooner, and we won't charge you. We may ask you to confirm the email address you applied from so we don't delete the wrong person's details.

Complaints

If we get something wrong, tell us first and we'll try to fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Other services the site uses

This is a static site, but a few external services load when you visit:

We have no control over what those companies do with the technical data they receive; their own privacy policies cover it.

Under 18

The form is meant for adults. If you're under 18 and want to come on the show, ask a parent or guardian to email us first.

No automated decisions

Every application is read by a person. We don't use software to score, rank or automatically reject applicants.

Changes

If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. We won't apply a new purpose to details you've already sent without telling you.
